The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its February 2011 Booked Orders Index was 167. Index in February is up 26 points or 18% from January 2011’s Index of 141. The February 2011 Index represents an increase of 46% from the February 2010 Index of 114.
February Booked Orders Indexes were 246 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 142 for Unit Handling Equipment*.
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 141 in February. Index in February represents an increase of 4% from January 2011’s Twelve-Month Index of 136.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 133 in February. Index in February represents a decrease of 3% from January 2011’s Index of 137. The February 2011 Index represents an increase of 18% from the February 2010 Index of 113.
February Billed Sales Indexes were 232 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 109 for Unit Handling Equipment*.
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 134 in February. Index in February represents an increase of 1% from January 2011’s Twelve-Month Index of 132.
* Since Bulk Handling Systems booked and billed sales are reported quarterly and are averaged back to the two preceding months, the booked and billed indexes for non-quarter ending months for Bulk Handling Equipment and Category X, total of all categories, are adjusted quarterly.
