The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its June 2023 booked orders decreased by 13.29% when compared to June 2022, but increased by 39.1% compared to May 2023. May 2023 Booked Orders had decreased 3.33% compared to April 2023.

June 2023 booked orders for bulk handling equipment increased 4.49% compared to May 2023. June 2023 booked orders for unit handling equipment increased 52.74% when compared to May 2023.

CEMA’s June 2023 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 30.97% compared to June 2022, but increased 7.11% compared to May 2023. This contrasts with the May 2023 increase of 0.23% when compared to April 2023.

June 2023 billed sales for bulk handling equipment increased 3.38% when compared to May 2023. The bulk handling increase follows a 1.99% increase for May 2023 vs. April 2023. June 2023 billed sales for unit handling equipment increased 8.39% when compared to May 2023. The billed sales for unit handling’s increase compares to a decrease of 0.36 for the prior month (May 2023) vs. April 2023.
