The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its November 2023 booked orders increased by 22.56% when compared to November 2022, but decreased by 3.69% compared to October 2023. October 2023 booked orders had decreased 38.2% compared to September 2023.

November 2023 booked orders for bulk handling equipment decreased 31.72% compared to October 2023. November 2023 booked orders for unit handling equipment increased 10.95% when compared to October 2023.

CEMA’s November 2023 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 10.33% compared to November 2022. November 2023 billed sales decreased 13.44% compared to October 2023. This contrasts with the October 2023 increase of 2.93% when compared to September 2023.

November 2023 billed sales for bulk handling equipment decreased 9.97% when compared to October 2023 billed sales. The bulk handling decrease follows a 10.48% increase for October 2023 vs. September 2023. November 2023 billed sales for unit handling equipment decreased 14.74% when compared to October 2023. The billed sales for unit handling’s decrease compares to an increase of 0.35% for the prior month (October 2023) vs. September 2023.
