Two-Part Particle Size Reduction Online Training Series

This course is intended for professionals in the processes industries including those in the chemical process industries, biochemical industries, pharmaceuticals, mining, pigment manufacturing, specialty chemicals, agrichemicals, food processing, waste management, and paper processing. The novice will be quickly brought "up to speed" and the expert will be exposed to a detailed review of the subjects.

Engineers, scientists, and technical personnel looking for understanding of principles of size reduction and engineers involved with solids processing, size reduction, and control in mining, ore production, specialty chemical manufacturing, reactor and pilot plants, process and project design, and waste processing and waste minimization will benefit from this training.

Register now for Part 1, Part 2 or both parts.

Particle Size Reduction I:
General Aspects, Physics of Breakage, Shape, Size and Surface
October 6, 2010, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (EDT) Online Training Course
This session will review basic principles, physics of breakage, material properties, particle size, shape, and surface and their distributions.

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
• Explain the general aspects of particle size reduction
• Describe the basics of the physics of breakage
• List terms and characteristics related to various particle sizes, shapes, and surfaces

Particle Size Reduction II:
Size Reduction Equipment, Equipment Operation, Energy Requirements
October 20, 2010, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (EDT) Online Training Course
During this session we will review size reduction equipment, equipment operation, and energy requirements. Understanding of these areas will improve production, product quality, safety, and enhance profits while reducing costs.

Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
• Describe the basics of equipment
• Explain the general aspects of size reduction equipment operation
• Outline the energy demands, efficiency, and utilization in size reduction equipment operation

Each part of the series may be taken individually. However, for the maximum training benefit, you are encouraged to attend the complete two-part presentation. If you register for both parts, you save $100.

If you can't make these live dates, send an email to [email protected] with subject line "Particle Size On-demand" and you will be notified when the on-demand version of this series is available.
