Sturtevant and Komarek Announce Strategic Partnership

Sturtevant, a Hanover, MA-based manufacturer and global supplier of size reduction and air classification solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with KR Komarek, a Wood Dale, IL-based manufacturer and global supplier of custom briquetting and compacting solutions.

The partnership brings together two companies that have a combined 233 years of processing experience and expertise. The newly formed strategic alliance provides an innovative milling, sizing, and compacting solution designed to accommodate the fast growing lithium carbonate market.

According to Chris Meadows, vice president of sales & marketing at Sturtevant, “The rise in demand for battery-grade lithium carbonate is changing the dynamics of traditional lithium carbonate micronizing. As the demand for battery-grade lithium continues to increase, producers will have to be more focused on reducing both capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenses.”
