Accident Claims Life at Indiana Food Processing Plant

A worker died in an industrial accident Tuesday morning at the PacMoore Processing Technologies food processing plant in Mooresville, IN, local news organizations reported. 

Emergency personnel responded to the site at about 6:45 a.m. after receiving word of the accident. The worker was pronounced dead at the facility, coverage by the Indianapolis Star said. No details on the victim’s identity have been released as of yet.

An investigation into the incident has been opened by the local police department, the Morgan County Coroner, and the Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration, an officials told Indianapolis-based television news station WRTV. 

Earlier this year, PacMoore’s plant in Hammond, IN was fined $19,250 by the state for serious safety violations, according to news website NWITimes.com.
