Lab Mixer for Development and Small-Scale Production
Lödige Process Technology lab mixer

With its L series, Lödige Process Technology presents a generation of lab mixers that offers improved features and ergonomics. The machines were designed for development tasks and small-scale production in the food industry and related branches. They are available in several sizes with drum volumes between 5 and 50 l.

A broad range of applications in product and process development can be covered with the L series of lab mixers. In particular, they enable the processing of powdery, granular and fibrous components, the addition of liquids for moisturizing, granulating and coating, the processing of fragile materials without destroying their structure, and the incorporation of fats, lecithin and similar into the mixture.

As Ploughshare batch mixers, the lab machines operate according to the mechanically-generated, fluidized bed principle introduced by Lödige to industrial mixing to generate a mechanical fluid bed. Equipped with mixing impellers that are geared to the respective task, they deliver quality mixtures that are always reproducible. The mixer shaft is unilaterally mounted. The machines of the L series consist of a basic module and three interchangeable mixing drums with volumes of 5, 10, or 20 l. The housing fits all three drum sizes, ensuring a high degree of flexibility.

The stainless steel housing was designed to fully enclose all technical elements of the slim, standardized machines. In addition to the standard version on rollers, it is also available as a table top model. Optional equipment includes double jacket for heating and cooling, a dust-free feeding hopper, and sealing solutions for shaft feedthrough and discharge flaps.
