Thayer Scale, Hyer Industries Inc., a manufacturer of continuous weighing products, announces that David Hyer has been promoted to the position of president.

Hyer has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of capital equipment product businesses. He was most recently vice president and general manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.

Prior to joining Thayer Scale, Hyer was division manager for the PCB test and inspection business of Teradyne. Hyer holds a BS in electrical engineering from Tufts University.
