A blaze ignited in a portable dust collection unit outside of the Fiberesin building materials manufacturing plant Wednesday morning, drawing a response from local firefighters, according to a report in the Waukesha County Freeman.

Firefighters were called to the East Wisconsin Avenue location around 7 a.m., the newspaper’s account said. Personnel were able to douse the flames in about 45 minutes, preventing damage to the structure.

The dust collector was destroyed in the fire, a fire official told the Freeman. An earlier report said a blaze broke out in duct work connected to the plant’s wood chipping system on June 20.

Fiberesin is a manufacturer of phenolic and thermofused materials for the construction, furniture, restaurant, and hospitality markets.
