Don’t Make Valve Maintenance Harder Than It Has To Be!

Product recalls due to contamination can be costly to the manufacturer’s bottom line and reputation. Applications requiring regular valve cleaning and maintenance can be simplified by choosing a DMN MZC Rotary Airlock Rail Valve. For more than two decades, these valves have proven themselves reliable and effective in a broad range of sanitary and many other applications in the bulk solids industry. The MZC valve series is highly engineered and provides a cost effective solution for quick, easy, and efficient valve cleaning and maintenance.

The MZC Rotary Airlock Rail Valve has an easy detachable rotor which can be removed from the housing within a few minutes to facilitate thorough inspection and cleaning of the valve internals. The stability of the extraction mechanism ensures that the rotor can be easily moved in and out of the housing without damaging the housing or the rotor blades. This unique rail design ensures accurate alignment and tight clearances when removing the rotor and end cover. Moreover, the rail support system increases operator safety and gives line operators considerable flexibility in cleaning and maintaining the equipment between runs.

Unlike a bolt-on rail design, DMN MZC rails are cast directly into the housing. This highly engineered design eliminates external crevices and edges where contaminants can accumulate, thereby reducing the risk of product loss.

MZC Rotary Airlocks are supplied in 316 stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The valves are suitable for temperatures up to 302°F and pressures up to 29 PSI with sizes ranging from 6” up to 14”. The standard rotor has 9 fixed blades and is highly machined for precise tolerances and minimal air leakage. Various rotor configurations are optionally available such as adjustable blades, reduced capacity, scalloped fixed vane, end disc, and semi-end disc.

In order to meet the highest hygienic standards, the MZC series includes USDA Dairy Accepted models for sanitary use in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and pet food industry. The valves are ATEX rated 94/9/EC for explosion containment, NFPA 69 compliant, pressure shock resistant, and flame proof for St1 and St2 products.
