Rigid Hammer Mill with Dual Access Doors

The Stol-Mill is a rigid hammer mill for size reduction of minerals, chemicals, grains, pigments, fibrous materials, food products, and a wide variety of other products. The mill housing design has dual access doors for changing the 90° lower half screens, which also allows complete access to the grinding chamber for maintenance and cleaning. Access doors can be equipped with optional stationary cutting/abrasion plates to increase grinding efficiency. The large 8-in. wide inlet allows for free flow of bulky products and is equipped with a pivot flow deflector, allowing for opposite rotor rotation which provides even hammer and screen wear. Hammer blades are available from straight to hook shape. Sizing screen and hammer selections are determined by in-house testing. The rigid blade design allows the mill rotor to be operated at slow speeds for product cracking to high speed for fine particle reduction. The mill is used in the agriculture, food, dairy, or pharmaceutical industries, and available in stainless steel or carbon steel.
