New Double Acting Pin Mill Unveiled

The Bauermeister counter-rotating pin mill UMP 4.4N Ex was developed to fine grind difficult products, especially those higher in fat content. The product is ground between two pinned discs rotating in opposite directions.

Product is centrally fed on the door side and on the housing side between two rotating pinned discs via hollow shafts. Process air and centrifugal forces convey the product through the rotating pinned discs. The particle size can be influenced by the speed of the rotating pinned discs. Safe and trouble-free process control during continuous operation is obtainable due to, among other things, smooth surfaces. Ra<0.8. The UMP 4.4N Ex is pressure surge protection designed up to 10 bar.

Features include wear-resistant design of the pinned discs, linear pulling-out guide pins for opening doors, no disassembly of the motors/v-belts when opening the door and fast cleaning of the mill interior. Additional cooling of the process air is possible via by-pass.
