Industrial Magnetics Inc. announces that 15 of its employees - including regional managers, engineering, operations, and inside sales personnel- have achieved certification as HACCP Managers from the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).

To obtain certification, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) managers must demonstrate working knowledge for meeting government, industry, and auditor requirements for the development of an effective

HACCP plan, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Each IMI employee completed the HACCP Basics for Processors and Manufacturers training program and the exam on HACCP systems and its prerequisites. The course is recognized and accredited by the International HACCP Alliance.

“This certification strengthens the IMI team’s capability to perform third-party plant audits on magnetic equipment,” said Ken Gentner, IMI’s compliance engineer. “Processors can be confident in our ability to participate effectively with other food safety professionals as active HACCP team members, to verify and validate the magnetic equipment in their process stream.”

Industrial Magnetics also recently received HACCP certification for its magnetic separation equipment in HACCP-based food safety programs, confirming its product’s ability to support the integrity and safety of food as demanded by industry expectations, legislation and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) endorsed standards.
