Advantech Manufacturing Obtains ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Advantech Manufacturing Inc., New Berlin, WI, was recently awarded its ISO 9001:2015 certificate from Verisys Registrars. The certificate affirms the company’s operation and quality management systems adhere to requirements as set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001:2015).

“Our employees have always understood the importance of consistently manufacturing quality products in order to meet the demanding ASTM standards. The evolution to obtain certification has refined our already exceptional processes,” said Tony Romano, vice president and general manager. “Becoming certified further demonstrates the importance we attach to supporting our continuous improvement initiatives while advancing our global competitiveness.”

President James R. Lang said, “It has been the commitment and dedication of our employees that has developed and continued to grow our customer relationships. Our employees take great pride in servicing the needs of our customers and then finding new approaches to solve those challenges. We are somewhat unique for a smaller company, having two very different divisions: manufacturing of quality control particle sizing testing devices, as well as producing precision CNC-machined customer parts. Working with close tolerances and adhering to the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) world has enhanced the methodology of both divisions and greatly facilitated our ISO 9001:2015 certification. Our certification is a well-deserved recognition to the focus and hard work of our teams.”

Advantech was founded in 1970 to concentrate on products for the particle separation industry. The lead product among its offerings was the Sonic Sifter, which was soon for quality control in the dry particle industry.  Recognizing the need for high-quality test sieves, the company began manufacturing and marketing ASTM test sieves under the ATM brand label.
Later, test sieve calibration services were pioneered as a result of requests from sieve and production screener customers wanting to verify their sieve tolerances in accordance with the ASTM E 11 standards.

In 2002, Advantech purchased a full-service CNC machining facility, adding vertical integration to its capabilities.
