The Ba Huan Company opened a $4.85 million chicken egg processing plant in Vietnam’s Phuc Tho district, Hanoi on April 15, the company’s first facility of this type in the country’s north, the English language version of the Communist Party of Vietnam Party Committee’s official organ, Saigon Giai Phong, reported.

Investing VND110 billion, or about $4.85 million US, in the project, the facility has a processing capacity of 65,000 eggs/hr, the report said. The company imported equipment for the facility from Netherlands-based Moba Group and the plant’s processing phases are automated.

Saigon Giai Phong noted that the facility will serve as a stable source of consumption for farmers in northern Vietnam.
