Pharma Technology Inc. (PTI), a maker of tablet dedusters and capsule polishers combined with metal detectors and loading systems for pharmaceutical solid dose, recently moved its headquarters and manufacturing plant to a new 60,000-sq-ft facility in Nivelles, Belgium, a company press release announced Monday.

“Upgrading and upsizing our facility is a result of the tremendous growth we’ve experienced in the past few years, and the continued growth we anticipate moving forward,” said Nic Michel, General Manager for Pharma Technology Inc. “As our customer portfolio continues to expand, we’re excited about having additional space to increase our capacity while developing groundbreaking technologies for the near future.”

Housing a large research and development center to further PTI’s innovations in tablet dedusting, capsule polishing, and OSD testing technology, the company’s new facility is twice as large as its previous headquarters.

The site, twice as large as the firm’s previous facility, doubles PTI’s manufacturing capacity, according to the release, and expands its stocking space. Additionally, it houses a large research and development center to further PTI’s innovations in tablet dedusting, capsule polishing, and OSD testing technology.

“Modernized technology will boost production of high-end equipment with continuous quality control through all manufacturing and assembly stages, resulting in an e-FAT individual document per machine,” the company stated.

The new facility will also house a fully-equipped demonstration lab for customer tests, FATs, and special projects with OEB 3 containment capacity.

12 new staff were hired as a result of the move, bringing the headcount at the facility to 75. PTI plans to officially inaugurate the plant and headquarters in March 2018.
