Man Dies While Operating Baler in Packaging Plant Accident

A 51-year-old worker was killed in an accident on the evening of April 12 while operating a baler at the ISOFlex Packaging plant in Nashville, TN, numerous news media outlets reported.

“Evans, 51, was operating a baler inside the plant when it became full.  During an effort with a co-worker to close the baler door, Evans suffered a head injury.  He died at the scene,” a statement posted to Nashville.gov said.

The victim’s name was identified as Timothy Evans.

ISOFlex Packaging is a subsidiary of the Sigma Plastics Group, one of the largest privately-held film extrusion firms in the US, Canada and Central America.
