Louis Dreyfus Moves to Acquire Chinese Oilseeds Firm

Agribusiness Louis Dreyfus Company is moving to acquire an oilseed crushing and refining firm Sinarmas Natural Resources Foodstuff Technology Co. from the Singapore firm Golden Argi-Resources, Reuters reported Monday.

The purchase is on the basis of an enterprise value of $111 million, Reuters said, citing a filing made by Golden Agri-Resources on Monday.

Louis Dreyfus’ purchase includes the Sinarmas-owned oilseed crushing and refining site in Tianjin.

China is the world’s largest importer of oilseeds.
