Firefighters responded to a blaze at the Feed Energy Company vegetable oil processing plant in Sioux City, IA last Friday and remained at the site through Saturday morning to observe the scene, the company announced Sunday in a post to its Facebook page.

Crews from several area fire departments were called to the facility after the fire started at 4:30 p.m. Four workers were in the facility when the fire ignited.

“The fire posed little risk to the surrounding community,” Feed Energy’s post said. “At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.”

Several tanks containing vegetable oil were damaged in the fire, according to NBC News affiliate KTIV. Another report by television news station KMEG said a partial building collapse occurred during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
