A blaze ignited Monday evening inside of a warehouse operated by agribusiness Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in Decatur, IL that caused an estimated $100,000 in damages, several local news organizations reported.

“Last night at approximately 8:30 p.m., a fire broke out in a storage warehouse near ADM’s Stratus soybean oil processing facility in Decatur. Employees quickly evacuated the facility and called the Decatur Fire Department for assistance,” company spokesperson Jackie Anderson told the Decatur Herald & Review. “The fire was contained quickly, and no one was injured. We are investigating the cause and the extent of damage.”

During the effort to put out the fire, several dozen burning pallets had to be removed from the structure and firefighters cleared smoke from the building, coverage by television news station WCIA said.

No injuries were logged during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local fire officials.
