Conveying Equipment Orders Drop in March

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its March 2016 booked orders decreased 9.5% when compared to March 2015 orders.

When compared to February 2016, March 2016 booked orders were down 14.1%.

March booked orders were up 18.1% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 24.3% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to February.

CEMA’s March 2016 billed sales (shipments) increased by 1.6% when compared to March 2015 sales.

March 2016 billed sales when compared to February 2016 billed sales were up 11.1%.
 
March billed sales were up 11.3% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 11.3% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to February.
