Conveying Equipment Orders Drop 40%

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its October 2019 booked orders increased 17.2% when compared to October 2018 orders, but were down 40.2% when compared to September 2019 booked orders.

October booked orders were up 20% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 49.4% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to September.

CEMA’s October 2019 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 18.6% when compared to October 2018 sales.

October 2019 billed sales when compared to September billed sales were down 22.1%.

October billed sales were up 10.4% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 32.6% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to September.
