Close Named Ag Growth President

Winnipeg-based Ag Growth International Inc. appointed Tim Close president this week.

He began with Ag Growth in 2012, and recently served as senior vice president of strategic development.

Close has been involved in acquisitions of companies such as Westeel and Rem Grin and is played a strategic role in the company’s growth in Brazil.

Before joining Ag Growth, he was a senior vice president at Macquarie Capital for nine years and also spent five years at GE Capital.

He received a business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1997 and completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program in 2002.

Ag Growth International is a manufacturer of portable and stationary grain handling, storage and conditioning equipment, including augers, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, grain storage bins, grain handling accessories, grain aeration equipment, and grain drying systems. AGI has manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Finland and distributes its product globally.

Some of Ag growth’s divisions include Tramco, Hi Roller, and Airlanco.
