Guzzler Manufacturing introduces a camera system as an option for the Guzzler high-rail industrial vacuum loader. The three-camera system provides the operator with enhanced visibility to the operator location while the unit is vacuuming on railroad tracks and in switchyards.

“When operating with the rear-mounted controls on the vacuum loader on rails or in switch yards – especially in response to hazardous railroad spills or emergency situations – it can be difficult to see personnel or other rail-mounted vehicles on adjacent tracks,” said Ben Schmitt, product manager at Guzzler Manufacturing. “The Guzzler high-rail camera system significantly reduces blind spots for the operator during railway applications and increases safety by providing greater visibility to the overall surroundings, including oncoming personnel or traffic.”

The optional camera system includes a 7-in., weatherproof LCD monitor and cameras mounted on the front and sides of the vacuum truck to provide a wide-area, real-time view of the Guzzler high-rail loader surroundings, even during extreme weather conditions. The operator can easily monitor the view from each camera on the LCD screen simultaneously.

The Guzzler high-rail loader can be quickly converted to operate on both railways and roadways. Featuring a loading boom, hydrostatic creep drive, and a rear-mounted operator chair, the Guzzler high-rail loader uses vacuum power to quickly and efficiently remove ballast, contaminated materials, and spills from railroad track beds. Material is stored in a large collection tank for subsequent treatment and disposal, or reuse.

Guzzler products, including the Guzzler high-rail industrial vacuum loader, are serviced at 11 FS Solutions locations across the U.S.
