VOC Emissions Control System
October 14, 2008
The MultiPhase BioSystem is an alternative to thermal oxidizers, in-bed biofiltration, and aerobic digestion for the control of volatile organic carbon (VOC) emissions from virtually all sources. The system treats high inlet emissions concentrations effectively for high-vapor-pressure VOCs, such as alcohols and methanol, and it simultaneously treats difficult VOC compounds such as turpenes, pinenes, and methanol. It also removes formaldehyde emissions. The MACT-compliant system is less expensive to install and operate than other systems. It provides excellent removal rates of high particulate concentrations and heavy loadings of biological-treatment products. It does not clog the media beds. Media are permanent. Other benefits include low maintenance and operating costs, minimal waste, and no NOx by-products.
