Kraft Heinz Closing Seven Plants, Cutting 2600 Jobs

Michael Mullen SVP of corporate and government affairs, Kraft Heinz, announced Wednesday that the company will be closing seven factories in the U.S. and Canada, and cutting 2600 jobs over the next two years.

The factories that will be closing are in Fullerton and San Leandro, CA, Federalsburg, MD,  St. Marys, ON, Canada; Campbell, NY, Lehigh Valley, PA, and Madison, WI. Mullen also said the company will move its Oscar Mayer and U.S. meats business from Madison, WI to Chicago.

Mullen said production at the closing facilities will be shifted to other North American factories.
