Fire crews responded to a gluten dryer explosion and fire at a Cargill plant in Manchester, England on Thursday afternoon, several UK news organizations reported.

“Cargill confirms that yesterday there was a malfunction of our dryer at our Manchester facility causing a loud bang. No-one was injured,” a company spokesperson told UK media group Messenger Newspapers. “We take the safety of our people and operations very seriously and are working to resolve this issue. We are currently investigating the cause and a dedicated team is working thoroughly to get the equipment back up and running safely.”

Firefighters arrived at the plant in the Trafford Park area finding the gluten dryer on fire. No injuries were reported and all personnel have been accounted for.

The area was briefly cordoned off during the incident.
