Dust Collector Fire Reported at Harley-Davidson Plant

Firefighters were sent to the firm’s Vehicle Operations plant in Springettsbury Township, PA early Tuesday.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations plant in Springettsbury Township, PA after a blaze ignited in a dust collection system at the site early Tuesday, according to a York Dispatch report.

Flames ignited in the dust collector around 5 a.m. at the Eden Road facility, officials told the newspaper. Crews managed to contain the fire to the equipment.

York Area United Fire and Rescue Chief Daniel Hoff described the incident as “minor” in the Dispatch’s coverage.

No injuries were logged.
