Facility produces industrial coating resins and adhesives

An explosion and fire at the Allnex USA chemical plant in East St. Louis, IL injured two people late Sunday night.
According to reports, a tank exploded at about 10 p.m. at the facility that produces industrial coating resins and adhesives. Firefighters from several departments were on the scene fighting the balze. Emergency management and hazardous materials teams were also sent to the facility.
The two injured men were taken to the hospital with chemical burns.
