A worker was injured at the Specialty Oil Extractors LLC hemp processing plant in Darlington, SC on Monday when their arm became trapped in a conveying system, several local news organizations reported.

Police were called to the facility at about 10 p.m. and discovered a worker with blood dripping down his arm, authorities told an area NBC News affiliate. The worker was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The man was making adjustments to a conveyor belt when his arm was drawn into the equipment, police said in coverage by television news station WPDE.

An explosion and fire were reported at the GenCanna hemp processing plant in Winchester, KY in November 2019. Flames caused heavy structural damage to a section of the facility used for CBD oil extraction, but no injuries occurred.
