Agricultural products and services provider Northside Elevator is currently building out a $20 million fertilizer in Stanley, WI, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reported Sunday. The firm’s director of operations, Dean Schiller, told the newspaper that work started on the facility in late June and that the project to reach completion in March.

Plans for the Wisconsin agronomy site were first announced this June. The project will include a tower system fertilizer manufacturing plant, a fertilizer storage warehouse, office space, and a rail spur.

The new facility will boost the firm’s distribution efficiency and lower travel time for application equipment, Northside Elevator said in an earlier release. Situated along State Highway 29, the site will also provide additional transportation options to support customers in the Chippewa Valley area and other regions of Wisconsin.

Up to 10 jobs will be created when the facility becomes operational.
