Food and beverage ingredients supplier Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) closed a transaction to acquire Canadian coffee roaster and packaging solutions firm Club Coffee L.P., expanding its portfolio of solutions, the firm’s parent company, Olam Group, announced in a recent release.

“I am delighted to welcome Club Coffee into OFI. Bringing together our respective expertise in sustainable sourcing and innovative packaging we are well-positioned to meet increasing consumer demand in these areas,” said Vivek Verma, chief executive officer, Coffee for OFI, in a statement, adding, “We expect to bring these benefits to our customers through this exciting combination.”

Operating from facilities in Toronto, Club Coffee produces private label and co-manufactured products for the ‘At Home’ segment. OFI spent CAD $150 million to purchase the firm.
