Food processing technology provider Key Technology Inc. released the second edition of its “The Definitive Guide to Digital Sorting for Food Processors” book which provides information on the operations of digital sorting equipment, the Walla Walla, WA-based company announced Tuesday.

“Our customers are often engineers and other technical people who want to understand how digital sorters operate This guide explains each element of the system and how the elements interact as a whole. This information helps people make appropriate decisions for their businesses, communicate as a team, and drive their sorters to achieve the highest possible performance,” said a statement by Steve Johnson, senior director of global marketing at Key Technology. “This book represents the collective knowledge of an advanced group of Key engineers at the leading edge of this field.”

The 76-page report provides an in-depth technical perspective on sensors and lighting, software intelligence, mechanical configurations, performance outcomes, and other aspects of digital sorting systems. Key’s book also details the latest technologies available on the market.
