Two Killed in Chemical Factory Explosion

Two workers were killed Monday and another was seriously injured in an explosion at the Galaxy Surfactants checmical plant in Boisar, the largest industrial suburb in Mumbai Metropolitan Region of the Indian state of Maharashtra.

 

Most of the surrounding businesses were shut down as a result of the explosion, which occurred at about noon in a reactor as raw material was added. 

 

The Tarapur MIDC fire brigade was conducting cooling and search operations.
