Fauske Offers NFPA 652 Dust Hazard Analysis Class

Industrial and chemical process safety solutions provider Fauske & Associates is offering a course on the Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) requirement in NFPA 652: Standard on the Fundamentals of Combustible Dust on Oct. 27 in Houston, TX.

Presented by Dr. Ashok Ghose Dastidar, Ph.D, vice president of Fauske’s dust and flammability consulting and testing services business, and Zach Hachmeister, director of the company’s business and services unit, the course will he held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Houston Airport Marriott.

While the course generally covers the parameters of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) umbrella combustible dust standard, the presenters will also focus on the standard’s Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) requirement and methodologies used to perform them.

Attendees will also be taught approaches to the hazardous dust properties of powders and techniques used to control or prevent dust explosions. The final segment of the course involves a mock DHA with a small blending operation. Registration for the course is $495.
