An explosion occurred at about 11:30pm June 6 at Eastman Chemical Resins in Jefferson Hills, PA, that caused a fire that resulted in area residents being asked to stay in their homes.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in roughly two hours. The explosion was said to have occurred in a processing unit at the chemical plant, which produces chemcials and hydrocarbon resins.
No injuries were reported.
