VIBCO Vibrators Launches Redesigned Web Site
October 20, 2009
VIBCO Vibrators has launched a totally redesigned Web site at www.vibco.com. The new site aims to solidify the company’s position as the leading provider of industrial and construction vibrators. It features streamlined access to VIBCO’s online information, an enhanced user experience with increased functionality, and a modernized site structure.
“We were an early adopter of Web technology and our legacy site reflected that,” says Karl Wadensten, VIBCO president. “VIBCO.com contained a ton of great information, but so much of it was hidden or difficult to locate because the site had grown organically since its inception in the mid-90s. We offer over 1300 different products for use in more than 600 SIC codes, so the accessibility of our information is key to our site. The new VIBCO.com is streamlined, has a great online product database, and enhances access to our great media library and all of the information on the site.”
In addition to a slick new look and enhanced navigation, the site now features a dynamic online product catalog, an interactive, 360-degree virtual photography gallery, and an online video library. The site is organized to provide quick and direct access to these resources for all users. Product catalogs, product information including technical and dimensional data, service manuals, and installation instructions are readily available from the product page – a dramatic improvement over the legacy site.
The new “On the Job” interactive virtual photography gallery shows users how vibration is used in a variety of industries. It reinforces the depth and breadth of VIBCO’s vibration expertise and engineering expertise. From the top floor of a high-rise concrete construction project to the depths of the East Side Access Tunnel Project, “On the Job” gives visitors a completely new perspective.
Also new to the site, the “True North” and “Lean Manufacturing” sections provide information about VIBCO’s award-winning Lean Transformation including Lean FAQs, a Lean Reading List, and links to a variety of online Lean resources and partners. VIBCO offers these resources as part of its commitment to “yokoten” – a Japanese term that means the sideways sharing of information.
