FLSmidth entered a contract with Prime Cement Ltd to engineer, procure, and supply equipment for a cement grinding plant in Musanze, Rwanda, the Danish company announced April 6.

Preparations to outfit the 700,000 tn capacity plant will begin later in 2017 when FLSmidth receives a down payment, the firm said.

“This is the latest project to underline FLSmidth’s strength as a leading supplier of the most productive and energy efficient equipment available in the market – and it is confirmed by Prime Cement’s order for its grinding facility in Rwanda,” said Per Mejnert Kristensen, group executive vice president of FLSmidth’s cement division.

The equipment will cover storage, packing, and cement loading solutions and other machinery from FLSmidth’s brands, like a planetary mill gear from FLSmidth MAAG Gear, filters from FLSmidth Airtech, a control system and plant automation from FLSmidth Automation, a packaing plant from FLSmidth Ventomatic, and weighing and metering systems from FLSmidth Pfister.
