Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co. announces the hire of Randall May, who will join the team as the ITS engineer for the company’s weigh-in-motion highway systems. Within this role, May will be responsible for the design and integration of intelligent traffic systems based on Cardinal Scale’s product line of in-motion vehicle scales. May will be supervising and participating in the installation and startup of these systems. He will also provide the technical knowledge for the enhancement of existing systems and the design of new ones. May will also represent Cardinal Scale at trade shows and technical exhibitions.
May holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Arkansas College of Technology. His past work experience includes servicing and designing PLC industrial control systems and X-ray gauge control systems, electrical engineering for piezoelectric scalers and probes, and designing under-counter flow meters and robotic assembly machines. He has also taught hydraulics, pneumatics, electric circuitry, semiconductors, digital electronics, robotics, and PLCs as an adjunct instructor at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville for the past nine years.
