Powder Show Canada attendees were given a guided tour of the ins and outs of dust collection at the Powder & Bulk Solids Canada, Wednesday afternoon in Toronto.

Gary Johnson, chemical engineer and consultant with Workplace Exposure Solutions, led a group of eager attendees to five different exhibitors at Powder Show Canada so they could see how certain types of equipment can limit their exposure to dust or the proper types of vaccuum or ducting to use to contain dust.

Johnson and the group visited Nordfab Ducting and discussed ducting with Robin Bolick, division manager.

The next stop was Bunting Magnetics where Bob Bunting, Jr., product manager - metal detection, discussed how certain magnetics can detect tramp iron or steel.

Johnson then led show attendees to Vac-U-Max, where Doan Pendleton, vice president, showed them how vacuum equipment picks up dust material.

The tour then stopped at Flexicon where Charles Arteglier, applications engineering manager, showed attendees a bulk bag discharging system.

Johnson ended the tour at National Bulk Equipment where Dave Root, applications engineering manager, demonstrated dust control on a bag filling system.
