Nederman Holding AB of Helsingborg, Sweden has acquired Charlotte-based Environmental Filtration Technologies Inc. (EFT). Both Nederman and EFT offer a range of products and solutions for industrial filtration, from single work station products to air pollution control systems for entire plants.
The businesses are complementary in terms of products and geographic footprints. The merger will allow both companies to extend their offerings and to enter new important business segments. Nederman was already a global market leader in industrial air filtration. With the addition of EFT, Nederman will now have a strong position in the important North American market, and further reinforce its position in other key markets. The joint group will have about 1820 employees, subsidiaries in 31 countries, and distributors in about 30 more countries.
“The merger with EFT provides Nederman with a strong foothold in the important North American market and further strengthens our world-leading position in industrial air filtration,” said Nederman’s CEO, Sven Kristensson.
“We are extremely excited by the acquisition,” added Douglas Albert, CEO of EFT. “Environmental, safety, and efficiency requirements are strengthening around the world, and we are well positioned to address those needs. The combined company will have an unparalleled filtration product portfolio and unmatched global reach. Most importantly, our deep applications experience across a wide range of industries will allow us to bring a broader set of best in class solutions to our customers globally.”
