V-Style Air Filter
The Durafil ES filter is an easy drop-in replacement for any standard V-shaped filter. This filter technology enables the HVAC system to consume 20 to 35% less total energy than competitive (V-style) products. This savings is produced by a patented radial inlet and outlet, which generates a much lower pressure drop profile. There is 30% more open area on the filter inlet and 60% more on the outlet than on conventional V-style filters. The greater open area is key to the lower pressure drop condition. A new height-to-pleat spacing configuration uses the same amount of media as in V-style filters, with more pleats per inch, resulting in a greater active filter area.

Spark Detection Systems
Sparks and embers are created very quickly in facilities in which combustible materials are being worked, exhausted, transported, filtered, or dried. Filters, dust collection bins, silos, and even complete production lines are areas of greatest risk. Foreign objects in the conveyed material, defective parts of production machinery, friction processes, and electric sparks are all fire-generating and ignition sources for dust explosions. As a preventative measure, spark detection systems can reduce the risk of fires and dust explosions in production equipment, dust collectors, and conveying systems. Sensors detect sparks and embers and then extinguish them before they reach the filter, without interrupting production. The systems are Factory Mutual approved.

Dust Removal System
After plastic regrind has been cleaned in the patented Compact Cyclonic Deduster (CCD) dust removal system, the cleaned material is as good as resins and can be mixed with virgin material for further processing. The core element of the system, the deduster, removes resin dust, streamers, metal dust, dirt, paper, and other contaminants. The contaminants are separated from the cleaning air in a high-efficiency cyclone and collected in a dust drum under the cyclone. The full dust drum can be changed without interrupting operations. The cleaning air is returned to the deduster after it passes through an in-line filter. The system is ideal for cleaning all granular dry bulk materials with high dust loads.

Downdraft-Series Dust Collector
The Modu-Kleen downdraft dust collector contains fugitive dust. The air enters at the top of the dust collector housing and flows downward to the cartridge filters, improving the filtering process and the material-to-air ratio. Air velocities are lower than those with a conventional dust collector, reducing the load on each filter cartridge and extending filter life. Cartridge filters are positioned horizontally, requiring less floor space and making filter removal easier. A large, quick-opening door allows maintenance personnel to closely inspect each cartridge when required without entering the filter housing. In addition, any single cartridge can be removed without disturbing adjacent cartridges.

Portable Cyclonic Shop Vacuum
The Gorilla Vac is a powerful portable cyclonic shop vacuum that eliminates clogging. It combines a high-efficiency cyclone with a high-power dual 110-V-motor industrial vacuum. It uses the cyclone to separate 98% of the material before the prefilter and the HEPA filter. The air coming out is cleaner than the air people breathe. The cyclone separates the dust into a plastic bag–lined 35- or 55-gal drum. Small amounts of ultrafine dust are trapped in a disposable paper prefilter. The air is finally exhausted through a final filter made of HEPA-rated media. HEPA-rated filter media remove 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 µm in diameter.
