Organic Personal Care Market to Hit $25B by 2025
December 21, 2016
The market for organic and natural hair care, skin care, and cosmetic products is anticipated to reach $25.11 billion by 2025, propelled by changing views and rising use of organic personal care products, according to new report by Irish business insights firm Research and Markets.
“Changing consumer perception towards organic products coupled with growing utilization of environmentally sustainable products has fueled the growth of naturally derived products,” a Dec. 21 press release announcing the report’s release said. “Also, manufacturing of naturally derived products aids in reducing pollution by consuming natural resources and reducing reliance on petroleum-based products.”
North America lead the industry in 2015 at a value of $3.5 billion, according to the market research firm, adding that regulatory approvals for the use of organic personal care products by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture are some of the drivers of the region’s projected growth.
The growth of the market may offer some benefits to manufacturers of organic personal care products, Research and Markets said, as producing the products from natural materials “aids in reducing pollution by consuming natural resources and reducing reliance on petroleum-based products.”
Growing demand for chemical-free skin and hair products, and rising disposable income, are also anticipated to impact the market during the period.
