Cosmetics Manufacturer to Expand Pennsylvania Facility

Contract cosmetics and personal care products manufacturer Process Technologies and Packagingplans to add about 407,000 sq ft to its facility in Scott Township, PA, the Scranton Times-Tribunereported Wednesday. 

The company provided an overview of the plan to the Scott Township officials on Tuesday, the newspaper’s coverage said, and requested that the project receive a number of tax-related benefits through the Keystone Opportunity Zone program. 

Process Controller Shawnna Giumento of Process Technologies and Packaging told the Times-Tribunethat the company will carry out the expansion effort in two phases. The company will invest some $20 million in the first phase, adding 210,000-sq-ft of space to the site.

Construction on the first phase is slated to begin this year, and Process Technologies is aiming to start work on the second phase by 2022. The effort is expected to create about 300 new positions.
