A ceremony was held near Atlanta, GA on Tuesday to mark the opening of The Clorox Company’s new manufacturing plant for Home Care products, the Oakland, CA-based firm announced via press release.

The 238,000-sq-ft site, dubbed Atlanta West, is next to the Clorox’s existing Home Care manufacturing site Atlanta Main. About 100 jobs were created as a result of the company’s project, according to the release.

“The opening of Atlanta West is a result of the continued success of our Home Care business, reflecting the strength of Clorox-branded products,” Linda Rendle, senior vice president and general manager of Clorox’s Cleaning division, said in a statement. “We’re capitalizing on our business momentum by investing in this state-of-the-art facility to enhance our supply chain and support long-term growth.”

Clorox has operated in the Atlanta area for more than seven decades, currently employing about 800 workers at its three offices in the area.

According to the company, Clorox products are used in over 65% of U.S. households.
