The PistonFire is a dry chemical explosion suppressor that is designed to meet the stringent requirements of NFPA 69 “Standard on Explosion Prevention Systems”. The unit consists of a suppressant storage cylinder and a valve body with a dust-ignition-proof and weatherproof NEMA enclosure. It is equipped with a supervisory OSHA lockout feature that allows safe entry into protected vessels and prevents arming of the suppression system if a suppressor is locked out. The suppressor is also equipped with a pressure switch that continuously monitors suppressor pressure and alerts operators if the pressure is out of range.
