A fire broke out on Sunday at the Gar Tootelian agricultural chemicals plant in Reedley, CA, burning a quarter of the 16,000-sq-ft facility, The Fresno Bee and other area news organizations reported. Officials estimated the blaze caused some $2 million in damages.

Over 100 firefighters responded to the facility, battling the fire from the early afternoon into the evening, the Bee’s coverage said. Cal Fire Capt. Jeremiah Wittwer told the newspaper that no injuries were reported, but some workers were inside of the plant when the fire started.

Cal Fire said the fire began in the plant’s maintenance shop at about 11:30 a.m., according to a YourCentralValley.com report.

Gar Tootelian Inc. was founded in 1949 and provides a variety of agricultural chemicals and services.
