Pneumatic Conveying Inc. (Pneu-Con), a designer and manufacturer of dry bulk material pneumatic conveying solutions, announces that Matthew Hemenez has been named as its chief executive officer.

Hemenez brings more than 25 years experience in leading high-technology manufacturing organizations across a multitude of markets, globally, and across B2B, B2G, B2B, and e-commerce business models. His vision and ability to focus on long-term strategy even during a challenging economy, his track record of business development success and his values-based leadership will help Pneu-Con pursue its mission of advancing manufacturing while building a culture for continued success and profitable growth.

“I’m passionate about manufacturing and its people,” said Hemenez. “For over 40 years, Pneu-Con has been a consistent resource for assisting thousands of customers move dry bulk materials more efficiently and more cost effectively. I am looking forward to working to protect that legacy, while charting a new course for this organization in this post-COVID economy.”

Hemenez succeeds Kevin Melendy, who was appointed CEO in July 2018 and whose exit was intended.

Hemenez earned his bachelor’s degree from the Virginia Military Institute after which he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps.  He also earned a Masters in Managerial Economics from University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University Fullerton.

He will be based at Pneu-Con’s headquarters in Ontario, CA.
