Canadian Feds Investigating Grain Silo Injury

The Canadian Center Occupational Health and Safety is investigating an accident at a feed operation in Mount Pearl, NL after an employee suffered injuries after being trapped in a grain silo, CBC News reported Thursday.
A 58-year-old worker at the Country Ribbon feed operation was temporarily trapped in the silo on Wednesday morning, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary told CBC News, and was later freed by a co-worker and first responders.
Fire and rescue crews responded to a call of an incident at the Country Ribbon feed store at about 9:30 am on Wednesday morning. As of Thursday, CBC News reported that the man is in hospital careĀ and listed in stable condition.
An earlier report stated that an employee told CBC News that grain fell on the man, trapping him inside the silo.
