Shut-Off Ball-Segment Valve with Crust-Breaking Technology

A vacuum dryer is only as good as the vacuum it is able to maintain and then easily discharge the dry powder. The Ultimo inflatable seat ball segment valve (U-BSV) has been developed to not only provide full vacuum or pressurized process conditions for the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and many other industries, but also to break any dried product crust that may build up as the wet solids are dried. This design feature whereby the ball-segment drops a ½ in. and then quarter-turns, provides for gas-tight sealing, extended life of the inflatable valve seat, as well as breaks any dried product crust on the valve, thereby enabling it to be easily opened without over-torque of the actuator.
